The Safe Storage trial is a large cluster randomised control trial (53,000+ households), funded by the Wellcome Trust, designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the introduction of a safe storage device in order to reduce the rate of pesticide related self-poisoning. This is a large collaborative project with several affiliated universities across four countries.

The study is based in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka and is organised by the South Asian Clinical Toxicology Research Collaboration from Peradenyia University (http://www.sactrc.org/).

The purpose of this website is to provide an overview of the trial, its results and information about its affiliated studies. We hope this will be of interest to members of the public and stimulate discussions about possible collaborations.
